September 27 – Remembrance Day
Azerbaijan marks September 27 - the Day of Remembrance as a sign of deep respect for Azerbaijani soldiers and officers, all the martyrs who were heroically fighting in the second Karabakh war, who died for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity in accordance with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s decree dated December 2, 2020.
A number of events are planned to be held throughout the country on September 27, according to Caliber.Az.
First of all, the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity will be revered.
The second Karabakh war started on September 27, 2020 and lasted 44 days. The war ended with the capitulation of Armenia and the liberation of the Azerbaijani territories which Armenia occupied.
