During a meeting held with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Serbia, Kamil Khasiyev, the Serbian lawmaker extended his thanks not only for the political backing but also for Azerbaijan’s tangible contribution to Serbia’s energy security. He noted that Azerbaijan’s role in this regard is viewed with high regard in Belgrade.
Ambassador Khasiyev, in turn, reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s unwavering support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia. He stressed that Azerbaijan remains committed to its partnership with Serbia and emphasised the importance Baku places on maintaining these strong bilateral ties.
Khasiyev highlighted that Serbia is currently the only European country with which Azerbaijan has established a strategic partnership. He added that this partnership is further reinforced by the close personal ties between the leaders of the two nations, which contribute to the deepening of political, economic, and cultural cooperation.
The meeting underlined the mutual appreciation and growing collaboration between the two countries, particularly in areas such as international diplomacy and energy security.
