Serbian President hails stronger Azerbaijan ties at farewell meeting with outgoing envoy
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has reaffirmed the strength of Serbia's strategic partnership with Azerbaijan during a farewell meeting with Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Serbia, Kamil Khasiyev, marking the end of the diplomat's mission.
Vučić thanked Ambassador Khasiyev for his personal contribution to deepening bilateral relations and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries during his tenure, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The meeting reviewed progress achieved in recent years, highlighting the intensive political dialogue between Belgrade and Baku, expanding economic cooperation, and advances in the fields of energy and transport infrastructure.
The two sides also discussed ongoing joint initiatives aimed at boosting bilateral trade and attracting further investment.
Vučić said the relationship of mutual trust he has developed with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev continues to provide a strong foundation for expanding comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
The Serbian leader also praised Azerbaijan's consistent and principled support for Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"I greatly appreciate the professionalism, sincerity and commitment to cooperation demonstrated by Ambassador Khasiyev throughout his time in our country, and I wish him every success in his future endeavours," Vučić said.
