Sessions of officers on ideological work held in Azerbaijan's Ground Forces PHOTO

In accordance with the training plan for the current year, training and methodological seminars were held with the heads of departments and units for ideological work and moral and psychological support of formations, associations, military units, assistant chiefs of staff of individual military units for ideological work and moral and psychological support, and psychologists.

The Ministry of Defence told Caliber.Az that Deputy Defence Minister and Commander of the Ground Forces Lieutenant General Enver Efendiyev passed over to the participants of the meeting the greetings of Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.

Activity in the field of ideological work and moral-psychological support for 2023, the state of military discipline was analyzed, and detailed information on forthcoming duties in this direction was provided during the session attended also by representatives of the Military Prosecutor's Office. It was noted that the tasks arising from speeches of the President of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev were regularly delivered to the personnel.

Acting Chief of the Department of Ideological Work and Moral-Psychological Support of the Personnel Department Colonel Elshad Abilov talked about works carried out in the Azerbaijani Army in the field of military-patriotic education and enhancement of moral-psychological training and gave necessary recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of the measures taken.

At the end of the meeting, views were exchanged on the topics concerning the systematic carrying out of upbringing, further strengthening of ideological work and moral and psychological training, studying of legal norms, and strengthening of military discipline. Lectures were delivered and answers were given to the questions of interest. Preventive discussions were also held with new recruits with a view to facilitating their adaptation to the conditions of service and protecting their psychological state.
