Sevastopol introduces fuel rationing amid gasoline shortages
A fuel coupon system for the sale of A-92 and A-95 gasoline was introduced in Sevastopol on May 31, Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev announced on his Telegram channel.
According to him, the entire daily fuel quota at gas stations was sold out within just a few hours in the morning, so gasoline sales are now being carried out only via coupons.
Razvozhayev said the difficulties are linked to enhanced security measures and adjustments in supply logistics. City authorities are working around the clock with federal ministries to resolve the issue.
He stressed that fuel supplies will be increased and emergency services will continue to be provided with fuel and operate normally.
Temporary restrictions remain in place, including a 20-liter limit per vehicle and a ban on selling fuel in containers. He urged residents to avoid unnecessary car use.
“Please act sensibly: postpone non-essential trips. Use your private vehicle only when absolutely necessary,” the governor said.
