SOCAR's representative office opens in Ashgabat
The inauguration of the representative office of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has taken place in Ashgabat, Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said on X.

"As part of a working visit to Turkmenistan, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and I took part in the inauguration of SOCAR's representative office in Ashgabat. This demonstrates our confidence in long-term cooperation with Turkmenistan and expectation of mutual benefits in the energy sector for both countries," the minister wrote, according to Caliber.Az.
The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is involved in the exploration of oil and gas fields, producing, processing, and transporting oil, gas, and gas condensate, marketing petroleum and petrochemical products in domestic and international markets, and supplying natural gas to industry and the public in Azerbaijan.
Joint ventures (including ventures in Georgia and Türkiye), consortia and operating companies established with SOCAR participation, are doing business in different parts of the petroleum industry. SOCAR has representative offices in Georgia, Türkiye, Romania, Switzerland, Germany and Ukraine, including trading activities, mainly in Switzerland, Singapore and Nigeria.
