Somali delegation tours Azerbaijani commando base, witnesses special forces in action

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, accompanied by Defence Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, paid a visit to one of the Azerbaijani Army's commando units today, February 13.

They were joined by Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and Defence Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev, Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.

The delegation was introduced to the latest defence technology, including a new simulator developed by the Ministry of Defence Industry.

The guests toured various facilities, including the indoor firing range, soldiers’ barracks, armoury, administrative offices, and the mess hall.

The Somali leaders also observed the commandos in action and visited an exhibition featuring unmanned aerial vehicles, weapons, special vehicles, and combat equipment produced by the Ministry of Defense Industries, RTX, and Improtex.

The delegation was then shown the array of weapons, ammunition, and combat gear currently in use by the Azerbaijani Army.

In conclusion, the sides exchanged keepsakes.
