Some 24 Palestinians killed in latest Israeli strikes on Gaza

06 January 2025 10:21

At least 24 Palestinians lost their lives in attacks by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip on January 5. The casualties are the latest in a series of devastating strikes as the conflict continues to escalate.

The report highlighted that three fatalities occurred during Israeli airstrikes on the Al-Bureij refugee camp, with a five-year-old child among the dead, Caliber.Az reports, citing the WAFA news agency.

The violence marks another grim chapter in the ongoing conflict that has ravaged Gaza. The Palestinian enclave's Ministry of Health reported earlier that since the hostilities began in October 2023, the death toll among Palestinians has risen to 45,800, with over 109,000 individuals injured.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has drawn widespread international concern, with calls for an immediate ceasefire to halt the escalating casualties and alleviate the suffering of civilians.
