Speaker of Azerbaijan’s parliament meets Moroccan counterpart in Istanbul

Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis (Parliament), met with Mohamed Ould Errachid, Chairman of the House of Councillors of Moroccan Parliament, during which the sides discussed the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco.

According to the Milli Majlis, the meeting highlighted the high level of relations between the two countries, with both sides expressing satisfaction with the development of political dialogue, as well as mutual support and solidarity within international organisations, Caliber.Az reports.

Following the talks, held in Istanbul, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding.

Gafarova noted that the memorandum would help expand institutional interparliamentary cooperation, including strengthening ties between committees and friendship groups, as well as enabling more effective coordination on international platforms.
