State Dept: US, Central Asia commit to strengthening Armenia-Azerbaijan peace
The United States, together with the countries of Central Asia, has expressed strong interest in promoting sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and in exploring new opportunities arising from the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP).
According to the US State Department press office, which provided the information to Azertag in response to a question about Azerbaijan’s possible participation in the Central Asia–US cooperation framework (C5+1), these efforts are part of a broader regional engagement strategy.
The statement highlighted the recent 10th anniversary of the C5+1 diplomatic platform. “During the C5+1 meetings in Washington, we emphasised the efforts of Armenia and Azerbaijan to expand regional cooperation opportunities. We are committed to working together to fully realise this potential,” the press office said.
