State Dept: US continues diplomatic efforts between Azerbaijan, Armenia

At a regular briefing, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller addressed questions from journalists regarding the ongoing efforts to settle the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Caliber.Az reports citing the State Department's website.

The discussion highlighted the US's continued commitment to facilitating dialogue and resolving the dispute between the two nations.

When asked to comment on Secretary of State Antony Blinken's recent phone call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Miller refrained from disclosing specifics of the conversation. 

"I'm not going to get into the details of private diplomatic conversations," Miller stated. "However, as mentioned in our published report, we continue to maintain active contact between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Our efforts are focused on supporting dialogue and working towards a resolution of the conflict."

Miller emphasized that the US remains dedicated to its role as a mediator in the ongoing negotiations. The State Department's commitment includes regular communication with both Azerbaijani and Armenian officials, aiming to foster a constructive atmosphere for peace talks.
