Summit in Azerbaijan's Shusha - step toward Turkic world unity, media says PHOTO
Major news agencies, TV channels, and newspapers in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have extensively covered the recent informal summit of the Organisation of Turkic States in Azerbaijan’s Shusha city.
Sabah newspaper featured an article titled "Unity is Our Strength," reporting on the summit in Shusha, Caliber.Az reports citing the local media.
The article mentioned Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's statement advocating for the transformation of the 21st century into a period of development and prosperity for the Turkic world.
The significance of the informal summit in Shusha for enhancing and solidifying ties among Turkic countries was underscored.
Turkish NTV channel highlighted Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan's call for the swift establishment of a unified Turkic alphabet in its coverage of the summit.
DHA and Anadolu news agencies reported extensively on Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz's speech in Shusha.
They highlighted his remarks affirming the historical belonging of Karabakh to Azerbaijan, Ankara's preparedness to host the 31st UN Climate Change Conference (COP31), and the significance of advancing the Middle Corridor initiative.
Hürriyet newspaper covered the meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkic countries in Shusha.
Hürriyet focuses on Ankara's stance regarding dialogue with Armenia, the establishment of a unified Turkic alphabet, Turkey's diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, and the importance of safeguarding the rights of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizens.

The TV channel emphasized the importance of the invitation extended to the leadership of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to attend an informal summit of Turkic world leaders in Azerbaijan, and it expressed high praise for the summit.
Halkın Sesi and Kıbrıs Hakikat newspapers reported extensively on the summit in Shusha, highlighting the state protocol followed during President Tatar's reception in Azerbaijan, as well as the speeches delivered by President Tatar and Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertugruloglu in Shusha.
