Swedish embassy thanks Azerbaijani president's aide for productive talks on NATO cooperation
The Swedish Embassy in Baku has expressed its gratitude to Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, for a fruitful discussion, Caliber.Az reported, citing the embassy’s Facebook page.
“Many thanks to the Assistant to the President of of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr Hikmet Hajiyev for a useful discussion on the further development of Azerbaijan’s partnership with NATO and on the broader regional agenda,” the embassy wrote.
The publication also noted that in 2025–2026, the embassies of Slovakia and Sweden in Baku are serving as NATO contact embassies in Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by the Swedish and Slovak ambassadors to Baku, Tobias Lorenzson and Elchin Gasimov.
