Switzerland denies supplying parts for Iran's drone production
Switzerland has not directly supplied parts for the production of drones to Iran, Fabian Mayenfisch, a spokesman for the Swiss Secretariat for the Economy (SECO), said.
According to him, Iran itself could purchase these parts on the world market, writes Gazeta.Ru.
The media earlier wrote that the Iranian Shahed-136 drone has 52 foreign-made parts, including those procured from Switzerland. However, Mayenfisch recalled that sanctions prohibit exports from Switzerland to Iran.
“No such commercial manufactured goods have been shipped from Switzerland to Iran... As a rule, these goods are produced in third countries and distributed worldwide. Therefore, it is necessary to proceed from the fact that Iran purchased these goods on the world market,” the SECO spokesman said.
