Syria denounces Iran’s assault on Azerbaijan, calls for regional stability

Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of recent Iranian drone and missile attacks on Azerbaijan.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria strongly condemns Iran’s attempt to carry out attacks on Türkiye and Azerbaijan using ballistic missiles and drones. These actions constitute a clear violation of the sovereignty of states and pose a threat to regional and international security and stability," a statement by the ministry said, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The ministry further emphasized that Syria rejects any violence or escalation targeting civilians and infrastructure, expressed full solidarity with Türkiye and Azerbaijan, and called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities in maintaining peace and security in the region.
