Syria to participate in World Urban Forum in Baku

Syria will send an official delegation to participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13), which will be held in Baku from May 17 to 22.

Preparations for the visit were discussed between Azerbaijani and Syrian officials, according to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Syria, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

“Acting Chargé d'Affaires of Azerbaijan in Damascus Elnur Shahhuseynov held a productive meeting with the Governor of Damascus Maher Edlibi ahead of the Syrian delegation's visit to Baku to participate in WUF13,” the embassy said in a statement.

The World Urban Forum is being organised in cooperation between Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat. The event aims to promote international dialogue and exchange of experience on sustainable urban development, smart cities and innovative urban solutions.
