Tajik President visits grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Alley of Honors

During his state visit to Azerbaijan, President of Emomali Rahmon visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the independent Azerbaijani state.

President Emomali Rahmon laid a wreath at the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports.

The Tajik President also placed flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

President Rahmon then visited the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.

Emomali Rahmon paid tribute to Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity. He also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

The Tajik President then enjoyed a panoramic view of Baku as he was informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the redevelopment works carried out in the city.
