Tehran, Baku must not allow third parties to undermine ties, Iran's FM says
Tehran and Baku must not allow any third party to undermine their bilateral relations, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said at a joint press conference in Baku with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
Araghchi stressed that Iran is committed to maintaining relations with Azerbaijan at the highest level, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“We see the same determination from Azerbaijan. I am confident that our ties will continue to grow. We must not allow any third forces to damage our bilateral relations,” he said.
According to the Iranian diplomat, cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran will continue to strengthen in the future.
“Today my Azerbaijani colleague and I held substantive discussions on the South Caucasus region and the ‘3+3’ format. This format plays an exceptionally important role in promoting peace and stability in the region,” he added.
