“The elections were a victory for democracy in Azerbaijan” OIC rep says

Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ali Asghar Muhammadi Sijani has described Azerbaijan’s snap presidential elections as a victory for democracy.

“The historic significance of the past elections is that these are the first elections after the complete restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” Caliber.Az quotes him as saying.

According to him, the elections were very successful and active.

“They became a victory for democracy in Azerbaijan. This is a great joy, and I congratulate the entire Azerbaijani people,” the representative of the organization emphasized.
