Top Azerbaijani, South Korean generals hold strategic defence talks in Baku PHOTO

Baku and Seoul have held discussions on strengthening bilateral military cooperation, according to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence.

First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with a delegation led by Major General Cho Chung-son, Director of the Defence Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of National Defence, who is visiting Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry.

During the meeting at the General Staff headquarters, Valiyev praised the progress achieved in military cooperation between the two nations and expressed confidence in the further development of these ties.

Major General Cho, for his part, thanked the Azerbaijani side for the warm hospitality and emphasised the importance of reciprocal visits in strengthening defence relations between Azerbaijan and South Korea.
