TRNC Parliament: Relations with Azerbaijan should become example for other Turkic countries PHOTO
Zorlu Töre, Chairman of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), emphasized that the growing relationship between the TRNC and Azerbaijan should serve as an example for other Turkic nations.
He made the remarks at a recent round table held during the Grand Turkic-Gunn Congress in Hungary, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
This event saw participation from key figures, including Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), Sultan Raev, Head of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), and Mehmet Süreyya Er, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA).
During his address, Töre highlighted the strong connection between Turkish Cypriots and the broader Turkic world, expressing optimism about the recent strengthening of ties with Azerbaijan.
He urged that these developing relations could inspire greater unity among Turkic nations.
Töre also underscored the strategic significance of Turkish Cyprus to the interests of Turkic states in the Eastern Mediterranean and called for increased attention from organizations fostering dialogue and integration among Turkic peoples.
