Truck crossings resume between Azerbaijan and Iran

Azerbaijani authorities have resumed truck crossings at the state border with Iran.

Following the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan Resolution No. 66 dated March 5, 2026, entry and exit—including transit—through the state border with Iran for all cargo transport had been temporarily suspended, the Cabinet’s press service told APA.

Crossings are now allowed at the Azerbaijani checkpoints of Astara, Bilasuvar, and Julfa for trucks returning from Iran to Azerbaijan, as well as for Iranian trucks returning from Azerbaijan to Iran.
