Trump reminds of his role in settling conflict between Armenia, Azerbaijan
US President Donald Trump has once again emphasised his role in ending multiple international conflicts, including the one between Azerbaijan and Armenia, during the opening speech of the first meeting of the Board of Peace in Washington.
Speaking during the opening of the meeting, which is currently underway in Washington, the US president said “Thirty years of fighting - we got it done. I want to thank you very much. That was a great thing you did," Caliber.Az reports.
He recalled that he “settled eight wars” and claimed that almost all the conflicts he mediated were resolved “in about two days.”
The president also praised the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, saying they were both "good people" and "tough people."
“We had peace with two very important countries. And I will never forget that,” Trump added.
