Turkish airlines signs engine deal for upcoming Boeing 787 fleet
Turkish Airlines has finalised an agreement with GE Aerospace to supply engines, spare parts, and maintenance services for its planned fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft.
The deal covers engines for 75 Boeing 787-9 and 787-10 Dreamliner models that the airline intends to purchase from Boeing as part of a major fleet expansion, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
In September, the carrier announced plans to acquire 225 new aircraft between 2029 and 2034, including the 75 Dreamliners—50 of which are firm orders, with options for an additional 25.
The airline has previously stated that its goal is to transition entirely to new-generation aircraft by 2035, as part of efforts to improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
