Turkish antitrust authority imposes interim measures on Haribo
Türkiye's antitrust authority has imposed interim measures on Haribo as part of an investigation into alleged violations of the country's competition law.
According to the authority, the measures are intended to prevent potential anti-competitive practices in the gummy candy market and avoid possible harm to competition, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Under the decision, at least 30% of the display space on Haribo stands in traditional retail stores with a sales area of up to 200 square metres must be allocated to products from competing brands that do not have their own stands in those stores.
The designated area must be located in a visible section of the display as a single block and carry the label: "This area is reserved for competing products."
Haribo has one month from receiving the reasoned decision to comply with the requirements and provide confirmation to the authority. Failure to do so could result in an administrative fine.
The investigation into the company remains ongoing.
