Turkish, Azerbaijani defence chiefs confer on Iranian drone attack

Turkish Minister of National Defence, Yashar Guler, held a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, to discuss recent regional security developments.

The ministers focused on the drone strikes carried out by Iranian armed forces targeting Nakhchivan International Airport and other civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.

During the discussion, the defence chiefs also exchanged views on bilateral military cooperation, the broader security situation in the region, and other defence-related matters between the two countries.
