Turkish delegation explores reconstruction efforts in Azerbaijan's Karabakh PHOTO
A Turkish delegation led by Vice Rector of the Turkish National Defence University Professor Talat Canbolat, is continuing its official visit to Azerbaijan. They visited territories liberated from occupation, where they toured several historical and cultural monuments, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on acts of vandalism committed by the Armenian armed forces, as well as on ongoing reconstruction and restoration projects carried out under the direction of President Ilham Aliyev. Azerbaijani servicemen also shared their personal accounts of the 44-day Patriotic War and other military operations.
The Turkish delegation later visited a military unit, where they were informed about the conditions established on site. They also received an overview of the operational history of units involved in the liberation of territories and efforts to restore territorial integrity.
The program of the visit is expected to continue with a tour of the Separate Combined Arms Army.
