Turkish envoy hails level of ties with Azerbaijan
"The level to which Turkish-Azerbaijani relations have risen in accordance with the geopolitical volatility of the world is an example for the Organisation of Turkic States."
Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci made the statement at a special session of the Caspian Energy Forum dedicated to Azerbaijani-Turkish cooperation, according to Report.
According to him, victory in the 44-day war is of great importance in terms of Turkish-Azerbaijani relations and the region.
Cahit Bagci noted that 44 is a symbolic date in the history of Azerbaijan: "Türkiye and Azerbaijan are well aware of geopolitical volatility. In accordance with this geopolitical volatility, a model of cooperation has been developed.”
He recalled that on June 15, 2021, Azerbaijan and Türkiye signed the Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations: “With the signing of this declaration, our strategic cooperation has risen to the level of the alliance. This is the will to expand and deepen our cooperation not only in the defence and energy sectors but in all areas. This document was approved by the parliaments of both countries. This document is an instruction for expanding and deepening relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in all areas. Instructions for removing obstacles, if any, will face these relations.
