Turkish FM assesses Azerbaijan’s defence industry showcase at IDEF 2025
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan assessed Azerbaijan’s defence industry capabilities during a visit to the national pavilion at the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), held at the Istanbul Exhibition Center.
Fidan toured the Azerbaijani stand alongside Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Industry, Vugar Mustafayev. The pavilion highlighted the latest advancements in military technology developed under the Ministry of Defence Industry (MDI) of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports via Azertag.
Azerbaijan’s display was organised by the Joint-Stock Company "AzerSilah Defence Industry Holding," which operates under the MDI. It featured 131 types of defence-related products, including firearms, close-combat vehicles, mortars, various calibers of ammunition, and unmanned aerial vehicles—all produced at MDI-affiliated enterprises.
In addition to official delegations from the Ministry of Defence and the MDI, several Azerbaijani defence firms—such as MIRAS, Q-STP, Synapline, USH Group, RD Smart, and Improtex—are participating in the fair.
Minister Fidan also visited other national and international booths at the exhibition, which serves as a major platform for showcasing global defence technologies and fostering bilateral military-industrial cooperation.
