29 September 2022 20:45
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said that despite Türkiye is a country with external dependence on the energy sector, it has become one of the most important countries in this sphere.
Türkiye has been implementing important projects for a long time to become an energy centre, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports referring to Cavusoglu.
“Western Europe, the Balkan countries hope for us, for Azerbaijan thanks to these projects. Azerbaijan’s role has increased,” he said.
Cavusoglu added that after the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the relevance of the Middle Corridor, which passes through Türkiye, Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries, has increased, and these countries should cooperate more closely.
