Turkish FM: Greek support to terrorist groups unacceptable
The Greek Ambassador to Ankara, Christodoulos Lazaris, was summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry due to Greece's support for terrorist organizations, especially the PKK, FETÖ and DHKP-C, and in connection with a PKK demonstration organized near the Turkish embassy in Athens.
According to Anadolu, according to information received from diplomatic sources, Lazaris was summoned to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, where he was informed of Turkey's point of view and reaction on this issue.
Lazaris was informed that the aforementioned terrorist organizations easily carry out propaganda, financial and recruiting activities in Greece and that Greece's identity as a safe haven for terrorist circles is growing.
In addition, Lazaris was given the example of the Lavrion camp, where terrorists who threaten the security of Türkiye use all kinds of logistical and training opportunities.
The Ambassador of Greece was informed about the inadmissibility of organizing political acts against Türkiye by terrorist groups, in particular the PKK.
Concerns were expressed to Ambassador Lazaris about the safety of Turkish missions and citizens in Greece, and the expectation of effective cooperation in the fight against terrorism was confirmed.
It was emphasized that Greece must fulfil its obligations arising from good neighbourly relations and international law in the fight against terrorism.
