Armenia has received €2.2 million from the European Union to support the country’s visa liberalisation process, according to the Armenian Interior Ministry.
The ministry said the funding will be used to strengthen border management, enhance document security and support reforms in law enforcement agencies, Interfax reported.
“This is the first programme in Armenia that directly supports the visa liberalisation process with the EU,” the ministry’s press service said.
