Turkish general visits Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan to boost military cooperation PHOTO / VIDEO

A delegation from the National Defence University of the Republic of Türkiye, led by Vice Rector Lieutenant General Burhan Aktaş, has visited the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Army (CAA), where its commander, Lieutenant General Kanan Seyidov, met with Aktaş, Caliber.Az reports per the Defence Ministry.

During the meeting, the sides emphasised the importance of further expanding cooperation in military education and discussed upcoming initiatives in this field, along with other issues of mutual interest.

The Turkish delegation was also briefed on the activities of the army’s Combat Control Centre. The guests also visited the Training and Educational Centre, where they toured classrooms, the simulation centre, and the training simulator hall.

The visit concluded with a tour of cultural and historical landmarks in Nakhchivan.
