Turkish intelligence service dismantles PKK/YPG targets VIDEO
During a joint operation by Türkiye's National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) and the Defence Ministry, strategic bases of the PKK/YPG terrorist organisation in northern Syria and Iraq were targeted.
The operation resulted in the destruction of military, intelligence, and energy infrastructure, as well as supply depots and ammunition storage facilities controlled by the PKK/YPG, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
"The National Intelligence Organisation will continue its operations until the planned objective of combating the PKK/YPG terrorist organisation is achieved," the statement says.
Türkiye's recent operations underscore its steadfast dedication to combating terrorism and bolstering regional security. These measures are part of a strategic effort aimed at disrupting terrorist activities and maintaining stability in the regions. Turkish authorities use the term "neutralise" to describe situations where terrorists either surrender, are killed, or are captured during such operations.
The PKK, recognised as a terrorist organisation by Türkiye, the US and the EU, has led a 40-year campaign of violence against Türkiye, which has claimed more than 40,000 lives, including those of women and children.
