Turkish official: Azerbaijan-Armenia peace treaty to be based on territorial integrity principle
Türkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Ceylan has said that his country is confident that the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be based on the territorial integrity principle.
Ceylan made the remarks at a special conference of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) entitled "Security and Cooperation: Role of Political Parties", organised by the New Azerbaijan Party in Baku on November 22, Report informs.
He noted that today the Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations and solidarity are stronger than ever.
“Both in good and bad moments, Türkiye stands by Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan stands by Türkiye. After signing the Shusha Declaration, the sides brought relations to the highest level. Unprecedented conditions have been created in the region today to ensure sustainable peace and stability. Türkiye has great hopes for the normalisation of relations in the region, there is no other way,” Ceylan said.
