Turkish official, FM discuss trilateral Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Georgia collaboration
Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Foreign Affairs Commission Fuat Oktay said he discussed the trilateral Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Georgia cooperation format with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Speaking to journalists during a visit to the monument to Turkish martyrs in Baku, Oktay noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to review regional issues and bilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
“We discussed in detail both the Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Georgia trilateral cooperation format and the peace negotiations underway between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We once again confirmed that all efforts and peace talks are continuing in a positive direction. This greatly pleased us,” Oktay said.
He went on to emphasise that, beyond these discussions, ensuring progress, peace, and security in the region remains the primary objective.
Oktay highlighted the area’s vast potential in both natural resources and human capital. He expressed satisfaction with Azerbaijan’s strong global position in oil and gas export and transportation, while stressing that current efforts focus on advancing regional development and further strengthening peace and security.
