Turkish official: Normalisation process underway between Azerbaijan, Armenia

Normalisation process between Azerbaijan and Armenia has begun following agreement on the Zangezur corridor and the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and former Turkish Vice President, Fuat Oktay, stated.

Oktay emphasised that Armenia’s imports of petroleum products from Azerbaijan effectively mark the onset of a normalisation phase between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

“Armenia is purchasing petroleum products from Azerbaijan, and this inevitably leads to the beginning of a normalisation process between Türkiye and Armenia,” he said.

Oktay is currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
