Turkish police detain over 60 in nationwide raid against organized crime syndicates Video
An operation in Türkiye targeted eight organised criminal groups, resulting in dozens of arrests, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
Ali Yerlikaya, the Minister of the Interior, shared details of the operation on X page, Caliber.Az reports.

A total of 63 individuals were detained, with 48 suspects arrested. Additionally, judicial control orders were issued for 11 others.
The operations, carried out over the past two weeks, were aimed at dismantling eight distinct criminal organisations, including two headed by SY and BA in Istanbul, AY in Diyarbakır, S.Ö. in Antalya, AK in Izmir, OK in Balıkesir, C.Ü. in Tekirdağ, and FD in Gaziantep.
During the operation, authorities seized nine unlicensed pistols, 392 kilograms of cannabis powder, five cheques and promissory notes totalling 28 million Turkish liras, as well as numerous mobile phones, memory cards, documents, and sharp objects.
