Turkish president thanks President Aliyev for support
The message of gratitude by Erdogan came during his speech in quake-hit Kahramanmarash on February 8, Report's journalist informs from the site.
“I spoke on the phone with my brother Ilham Aliyev. Just as we were next to our brothers in the Karabakh war, so is my brother Ilham with his entire team next to us in this catastrophe. Personally, on my behalf, I thank the entire team led by Ilham Aliyev,” Erdogan said.
"I am very grateful to my Azerbaijani brothers," the Turkish leader added.
On February 6, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 struck Türkiye. The devastating earthquake affected 10 provinces, which are home to 13.5 million people.
Erdogan declared a state of emergency in these provinces and a 7-day mourning across the country in memory of the victims.
