"The ATAK helicopter fires from 8km, which means it has to get close to the enemy. However, ROKETSAN is developing a missile system for the ATAK-2 heavy helicopter that can hit targets from 20km," Kotil said.

Following the completion of design and development work on the ATAK-2 heavy attack helicopter, ground tests were successfully conducted, which were the first requirements for the launch of the engine.
On April 23, 2023, the ATAK-2 helicopter took to the air for the first time.
The ATAK-2, the third helicopter in the world in this class, weighs 10 tonnes and has a payload of 1,200 kg.
