Turkish VP highlights peace, cooperation for Turkic world prosperity
Positive steps toward achieving sustainable peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the South Caucasus have been welcomed by Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
Speaking at a meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice President of the Member States of Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Baku, Yılmaz emphasized the importance of ongoing diplomatic efforts and expressed hope for their successful advancement, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The Turkish vice president noted that the emerging historic opportunities in the region should be effectively utilized to reach a lasting settlement between the two countries.
He expressed hope that a peace agreement would be concluded, paving the way for long-term stability in the region.
“Stability and cooperation in the South Caucasus will further strengthen the unity of the Turkic world,” Yılmaz said. “We believe that new opportunities for cooperation in various fields, including transport, energy, infrastructure, and communications, will make a significant contribution to the prosperity of the Turkic world.”
