Türkiye, Azerbaijan deepen military partnership in groundbreaking talks
Turkish Minister of National Defence, Yaşar Güler and Azerbaijani Deputy Defence Minister, Commander of the Land Forces, Colonel General Hikmat Mirzayev have met to discuss military cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, the meeting was also attended by Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, Army General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, Caliber.Az reports.
Hikmat Mirzayev is currently on an official visit to Türkiye, further strengthening Azerbaijan-Türkiye military cooperation.
Earlier, Mirzayev engaged in discussions with the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces Metin Gurak in Ankara.
The meeting, which was also attended by Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, Army General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, underscored the strengthening of military ties between the two nations.
The meeting focused on issues of mutual interest, including military cooperation and regional security. The Azerbaijani delegation also met with General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, further highlighting the deepening defence relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
The sides praised the current military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, emphasizing the significant role of their partnership in regional security. They also discussed the prospects for further developing military ties. Moreover, they exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
