Türkiye, Azerbaijan forge ahead with new agricultural projects, says minister
Türkiye will continue to implement joint important projects with Azerbaijan in the field of agriculture, said Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli.
The minister recalled that during his September visit to Azerbaijan, important discussions were held on the development of agriculture of the two countries, and a declaration of intentions on the development of livestock breeding was signed, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
"A new stage of cooperation is ahead of us. We are cooperating with Azerbaijan in the sphere of agriculture. I am sure we will continue implementing very important projects in the future," Yumakli said.
Yumakli said the ministry he heads will continue to make efforts to develop forestry and agriculture in all Turkic states.
The friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye continue to flourish in various sectors, including agriculture, agrarian research, education, cotton cultivation, seed production, veterinary medicine, and agricultural insurance.
As a testament, in late September, the ministries of agriculture of Azerbaijan and Türkiye signed a Declaration of Intentions to enhance collaboration in the field of animal husbandry and animal health. The agreement outlines plans for experience exchange in animal disease control, joint training sessions, research initiatives, health assessments, investment attraction in livestock, and strengthening connections between businesspeople in this sector.
