Türkiye considers integrating Russian S-400s into "Steel Dome"
Türkiye may use S-400 surface-to-air missile systems purchased from Russia in its "Steel Dome" air defence system.
"The S-400 SAMs can also be included in this system. Since this is our national system, we can connect the S-400s to it as well," said defence and security analyst Turan Oguz, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The Turkish authorities have previously reported that the Iron Dome will include various systems for various purposes of domestic development.
According to SavunmaSanayiST, a portal specializing in military-industrial complex issues, the Turkish air defense system is being developed by Aselsan. Test trials of the system, which will integrate such air defense systems as Korkut, Hisar-A and Siper, among others, have already begun.
