Türkiye enhances naval defence with advanced system for TF-2000 destroyer
Türkiye is set to bolster its naval capabilities by integrating the advanced national long-range air defence system into its TF-2000 class destroyer.
A post by SavunmaSanayiST.com on social media platform X, says that the destroyer will be armed with the naval variant of the SİPER Block-1 anti-air missile, which boasts an impressive range of over 100 kilometers, Caliber.Az reports.

Following successful final tests of the land-based SİPER Block-1 missile, plans are in place for its deployment within the Turkish Armed Forces. Additionally, the SİPER Block-2 missile, capable of engaging targets at distances exceeding 150 kilometers, has also undergone successful testing.

The TF-2000 destroyer is designed to feature a 64-cell MIDLAS vertical launch system. This system will house HİSAR-D RF missiles for medium-range air defence, alongside the SİPER Block-1 and SİPER Block-2 missiles for long-range protection.
