More than 220,000 Ukrainian citizens have arrived in Türkiye since Russia's full-scale invasion began.

Ukraine's Ambassador to Türkiye Vasyl Bodnar made the remarks in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

However, today there are about 45,000-50,000 Ukrainians left there.

"This suggests that Türkiye is more of a transit country. Because people then returned home or moved to other countries. In fact, Türkiye is convenient because you can stay here for 90 days without any visas absolutely without any problems," he said.

According to the ambassador, Ukrainians with expired documents were allowed into Türkiye, and there was also an opportunity to enter the country by their own car.
