Georgian FM expands high-level talks during Israel visit
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili continued her official visit to Israel with a series of high-level meetings focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, Georgian media reported, according to Caliber.Az.
In her meeting with Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, the two sides reviewed ongoing cooperation and explored ways to further deepen the partnership between Georgia and Israel.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry’s official statement, “special attention was given to the dynamics of cooperation in the areas of security and law enforcement, as well as to effective coordination between the ministries of both states.”
Both officials also noted the positive momentum in recent high-level exchanges between Georgia and Israel.
As part of her visit, Botchorishvili also held talks with Avi Dichter, Israel’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Security. The discussion highlighted the long-standing nature of Georgian-Israeli cooperation in agriculture. The ministers reviewed key areas of collaboration in agriculture, trade, and the broader economy.
The Foreign Ministry added that “particular attention was paid to the steps required to further deepen relations” in these fields.
Bochorishvili has already met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar during her trip, and a meeting with Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana is also scheduled.
