Türkiye, Hungary, Saudi Arabia express support to Azerbaijan amid Iranian drone attacks
The Chiefs of General Staff of Türkiye and Hungary, Generals Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu and Gábor Bérendi, held a phone call with Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Karim Valiyev.
According to Report, the Ministry of Defense said the parties conducted a detailed exchange of views on military cooperation between their countries and regional security in light of recent events.
Bayraktaroğlu and Bérendi emphasised that Iranian drone attacks on civilian infrastructure in Nakhchivan violate international law.
“In addition, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia, General Fayad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, through his country’s military attaché in Azerbaijan, stated that his country opposes such attacks and is ready to provide necessary support at any time. Colonel General Kerim Veliyev expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their position and ongoing support,” the statement said.
