Türkiye repatriates 14 fugitives from multiple countries, authorities say
Turkish authorities have announced the successful apprehension and extradition of 14 individuals wanted for serious crimes, including murder, sexual abuse, robbery, and organised crime, following coordinated operations with law enforcement agencies in several countries.
According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, 12 suspects listed with Interpol Red Notices and two individuals wanted at the national level were brought back to Türkiye from Georgia, Albania, Germany, Senegal, and Greece. Among those repatriated, T.G., a member of the A.G. organised crime group wanted for robbery, usury, and other offenses, was apprehended in Georgia, along with M.A., wanted for child sexual abuse and unlawful deprivation of liberty, Caliber.Az reports via Yerlikaya’s post on X.

Other individuals detained in Georgia included M.A.D., wanted for robbery; C.Y., wanted for robbery and coercion; S.S., wanted for intentional killing; M.D., wanted for child sexual abuse; K.D., wanted for multiple counts of attempted intentional killing; and E.Ç., wanted for fraud and membership in an organised crime group.
K.K., wanted for fraud using banking systems, was captured in Albania, while O.G., wanted for child sexual abuse, was apprehended in Senegal. In Germany, authorities detained G.Ç. and M.C.Ü., wanted for narcotics, theft, fraud, and coercion. At the national level, T.Y., wanted for illegal possession of firearms, was apprehended in Albania, and M.U., wanted for migrant smuggling, was captured in Greece.
The Ministry of Interior credited the operation to close collaboration among national police units, the Ministry of Justice, Interpol and Europol liaison departments, and specialised divisions addressing organised crime, narcotics, cybercrime, public order, and migrant smuggling.
Yerlikaya emphasised that “no matter what notice they are wanted under, no matter which country they flee to, they cannot escape from the Turkish Police.”
