The missile hit its target with pinpoint accuracy.
"This is not just a single shot; it is the power of our nation’s belief, determination, and strength in the sky. The success achieved with Roketsan’s national missile L-UMTAS is a portrait of pride built by our engineers, who have worked day and night. We take pride in this achievement, which is a significant proof of our engineering capabilities," the statement read.
Note that, the L-UMTAS is a long-range anti-tank guided missile with laser guidance, primarily designed for use with attack helicopters. Its laser guidance capability and tandem warhead make the missile an effective weapon system against both stationary and moving targets. The missile can lock onto a target either before or after launch.
